A Secret History of Brisbane is a street-wise portrait of the city's long tradition of civil unrest and social activism. Co-directed by David Cox and Molly Hankwitz, this film is a cinematic "cry" for freedom and justice in our own multicultural backyard. Music and sound design by Andrew Kettle.Produced with the assistance of QPIX for the Centenary of Federation, Time & Light is a 27 minute portmanteau collection of local independant documentaries. The films reflect four different facets of the City's past and present - it's serpentine river, sub-cultures, social activism and visual heritage. "Andrew Kettle's dramatic soundtrack for A SECRET HISTORY contrasts with his haunting, subtle soundscape in UMPI KORUMBA" Notes from premier program. Video available on 'Performance CDrom'.
