Institute of Modern Art (IMA)
420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

Since creating and curating SBB two years ago, Brisbane's own sage of experimental music - Andrew Kettle - has never played the event... until now. Kettle's recording material dates to 1993, with several CD releases through his own independant label (label:KETTLE), numerious tracks on various artist compilations, and extensive radioplay throughout the country. For SBB's 2nd Birthday, expect digital drone-based works riddled with alchemical influences and the unveiling of new home-built instruments. http://listen.to/kettle

Daryl Buckley & Michael Hewes are regular performers in the Elision Ensemble, Australia's national contemporary music ensemble. This SBB the duo present "Transmission", Welsh-born composer Richard Barrett's piece for electric guitar and live electronics. http://www.elision.org.au

Alan Nguyen - digital minimalism; noise; treated free improv. Nguyen's most recent work focuses on attempts to redefine the traditional notion of "composer", while appropriating techniques from circuit-bending culture and recent advances in glitch-technology. http://www.geocities.com/alansgottaburner
